Veronica brings to PEG her strategic planning and implementation experience focusing on race and equity-centered projects.
Her data-driven strategic work has transformed and created hiring, training and mentoring programs for second-chance youth and young men of color for the LA County Library. A former FUSE Executive Fellow at the City of Long Beach, she worked closely with the leadership of the City Manager’s Office and Department of Health to write the City’s My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Implementation Plan and deliver the MBKA Regional Summit in partnership with the Obama Foundation. Her work created a $300K budget for the City of Long Beach to continue the MBK work.
Prior to her fellowship, she served as a Senior Health Benefits Advisor with J. Glynn & Company, focused primarily on public school district clients in Southern California as the exclusive health benefits consultant and patient advocate for the California Education Coalition for Health Care Reform.
