Jose Andres Montes Lopez is a student at Columbia University pursuing a Masters in Quantitative Methods in Social Sciences. As an undergraduate, Andres studied Industrial and Labor Relations with a minor in international trade & development and business at Cornell University. Throughout his studies, he has developed interdisciplinary skills in statistics, economics, and law to understand policy management on a global scale. Supplementing his core studies, Andres’s coursework in business and interest in emerging markets is linking his views of global market trends to their implications for firms. Andres plans to continue traveling and supporting business in Latin America and Southeast Asia through study and work abroad opportunities. While countries may sometimes seem worlds apart, Andres hopes to bring them together through his analysis and unique perspective.
