Crystal Avila is pursuing an MPA at Columbia University with a focus on urban and social policy. Prior to graduate school, Crystal was a Fellow at NYC Service, a division of the Office of the Mayor, where she provided capacity building and strategic planning support to nonprofits advancing civic engagement and volunteerism efforts across NYC. Crystal has also worked with nonprofits spanning issue areas such as homelessness, immigration, and educational access. Crystal is a native New Yorker and committed to furthering equitable and inclusive problem-solving and decision-making within the public sector.
