Education: Pursuing a BA in Humanities and Justice at John Jay College of Criminal Justice

Cindy is a third year undergraduate student at John Jay College of Criminal Justice majoring in Humanities and Justice and minoring in English and is also part of the John Jay College Honors Program. Prior to working at Public Equity Group, Cindy was a communications intern for Councilmember Hanif where she assisted with the planning of in person press events, as well as constituent communications. This included drafting press content and constituent information based content. 

Cindy has also worked as a Student Mediator for the Consumer Frauds Bureau within the New York State Attorney General's Office where she has acted as a consumer advocate for multiple concerns between consumers and companies. 

Cindy plans to pursue a career in law, advocacy, and social justice. In her free time, Cindy enjoys reading and exploring different parts of New York.
