Rachel Gordon Vivas

Rachel has over 10 years of experience working across the private, government and non-profit sectors. She began her consulting career in the higher education space advising on organizational design and optimizing grantmaking operations. Rachel has also held project management roles overseeing implementation and change management efforts in the public sector.

Rachel pursued her Master’s in Public Policy at The Harris School of Public Policy with a focus on urban policy and, while completing her MPP, served as a Mayoral Fellow working on various policy initiatives for the City of Chicago under Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

Following her graduate studies, Rachel managed research and evaluation projects supporting data-driven decision-making regarding resource allocation and real estate investment for equitable community development activities across the Midwest.

Rachel has a passion for driving social impact and empowering community-based organizations, especially in her hometown of Detroit. She also currently serves on the Associate Board for CityYear Detroit.
