Maria Gamboa

Education: PhD in History from the University of Chicago; BA in Ethnic Studies and International Studies from University of California San Diego

Maria specializes in strategic planning, communications, and fundraising for mission-driven organizations. She excels in training staff, evaluating programs, and reporting outcomes. She draws on her teaching and research experience to facilitate conversations about racial justice, equity, and employee relations.

Maria holds a PhD in History from the University of Chicago and a BA in Ethnic Studies and International Studies from the University of California San Diego. She completed a dissertation on the history of Comprehensive Immigration Reform and Latino ethnic mobilizing and has taught 20 courses at the University of Chicago, Oberlin College, and University of California Merced. As a graduate student, she led several initiatives to support the professional development of students of color.
