Jennifer Weiss

Jennifer Weiss has been in the field of public health for over 20 years and consults for New York-based non­ profit organizations on public health policy, advocacy and education.  

She has worked on projects relating to workplace wellness, palliative care, health literacy, early childhood development, behavioral health, chronic disease management, nutrition, and the health consequences of loneliness and social isolation. Prior to her consulting career, she was the Policy Director at the Medicare Rights Center.

Jennifer also co-founded a company specializing in activist clothing for children and is the co-author of two non-fiction books, a book of humor, and several articles and opinion pieces for newspapers around the country.  

She sits on the boards of two organizations serving New York City public school students: Meet the Writers, Inc, a literacy organization which brings diverse authors and illustrators to elementary and middle schools, and the Urban Memory Project, which works with high school students to explore the relationship between their personal histories and the history of the city. 

Jennifer holds an MA in Health Education from Columbia University and a BA in Social Environmental Issues from University of Michigan.
