Brigitte is a human rights program development and strategy specialist with a long history working with civil society organizations and coalitions around the world. Before turning to consulting, Brigitte traversed the globe as an international human rights lawyer, advocating for truth, justice, and legal reform in post-conflict societies. Working for organizations such as Human Rights Watch and the Coalition for the International Criminal Court, she carried out fact-finding, training, and advocacy missions to more than two-dozen countries, meeting with stakeholders including high level government officials and survivor collectives. She feels honored to have had a hand in human rights and justice reforms in over fifty countries ranging from Costa Rica to Tanzania. Brigitte also spent several years working in Guatemala, first as counsel for a human rights NGO and then as an investigator of atrocities committed during the country’s thirty-six-year armed conflict.

Brigitte’s consulting has included research, planning, organizational development, and grantmaking for NGOs, funds and foundations involved in justice reform, accountability, LGBTQ advocacy, immigrant rights and anti-slavery initiatives.
